Universal product codes (UPCs) are the 12-digit numbers that appear under the barcodes on many U.S. products. They are given out by GS1 US, a nonprofit group that sets standards for international commerce.
We will provide a print ready scannable barcode for you to use on your product packaging and sales materials. Formats available are PSD raster or EPS vector.
If you do not have a number yet, you can get your own barcode thru GS1 US or you can go to buyabarcode.com and use their number for a fraction of the cost. Once you have the 12 digit number you can place your order here.
The left half of a UPC code includes a company number, which is issued by the Uniform Code Council after your company applies for membership. This number is referred to as the UCC Company Prefix.
The right half is then up to the manufacturer to assign at will.
How do I Get a UPC number for my product? CALL THE UNIFORM CODE COUNCIL. Outside the USA, contact the equivalent organization for your country.
